FDA Warns Texas Compounder for Misbranded Drugs

The FDA hit Cedar Park, Texas compounder Prescription Dispensing Laboratories with a warning letter for using ineligible ingredients.

An agency inspection revealed that the firm compounded drug products using ingredients that were not on the agency’s bulks list, were not components of approved human drugs and didn’t have applicable USP or NF monographs.

The agency also expressed concern about the firm’s compounding of drug products using colloidal silver, pointing out the risk of serious complications from using silver ingredients.
