Medtronic Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Medtronic has named Geoff Martha to succeed the company’s Chairman and CEO Omar Ishrak who will retire next spring.

Martha is currently executive vice president of the company’s restorative therapies group. He will step into his new role on April 27.

Ishrak will stay on with the company as executive chairman, providing guidance to the company during the leadership transition.
