Integra Absorbs Rebound Therapeutics

Integra LifeSciences announced its acquisition of Rebound Therapeutics, a device company that manufactures a single-use, minimally invasive neurosurgical device.

Details of the agreement were not disclosed. Rebound’s platform is “a natural addition” to Integra’s portfolio of neurosurgical products, according to Dan Reuvers, corporate vice president and president of Integra’s specialty surgical division.

In January, Rebound’s Aurora Surgiscope system became the first single-use, throwaway neurosurgical endoscope to earn the agency’s 510(k) clearance.
