Lupin Gets FDA Approval for Dilantin Generic

Lupin received the FDA’s approval for extended phenytoin sodium capsules 100 mg as a generic of Pfizer’s Dilantin.

The drug is indicated for the prevention and treatment of grand mal and temporal lobe seizures, and for the prevention and treatment of seizures during or following neurosurgery.

Lupin is the eighth largest generics manufacturer, with revenues of $2.34 billion for the year ended March 31,2019.
