Securisyn Wins 510(k) Clearance for Airway Stabilization System

Securisyn Medical gained 510(k) clearance by the FDA to market its SolidAIRity III airway stabilization system  for airway management of patients requiring oral intubation.

SolidAIRity’s ribbed endotracheal tube and interlocking stabilizer can withstand  up to seven times greater force than the leading competition, while maintaining unrestricted air flow, the company says.

Despite the use of adhesive tape and other commercially available tube holders, inadequately stabilized breathing tubes are unintentionally removed in a significant number of ICU patients, the company says.
