Medacta Receives CE Mark for Shoulder Implant

Medacta International has earned the CE Mark for its lateralized glenosphere implant, with a broader range of options for reverse shoulder replacement surgery.

The modular system includes a  wide range of sizes, adjustable offset and various configurations. The system is compatible with the CT-based MyShoulder 3D preoperative planning solution.

The new version of the Medacta Shoulder System features a more lateralized center of rotation, offering the potential for an improved range of motion, as well as a reduced risk of scapular notching, the company said.
