3D Systems’ Biocompatible Denture Material OK’d by FDA

The FDA granted 3D Systems 510(k) clearance for its NextDent Denture 3D+ biocompatible denture material, used for printing removable denture bases.

The material has “excellent mechanical properties” and is available in five colors to match a patient’s gums, the company said.

3D Systems claimed the biocompatible denture material has significantly lower shrinkage compared to standard denture base materials.
