Carlsmed Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Personalized spinal implant developer Carlsmed has named Sharon Schulzki as its new chief operating officer.

Schulzki brings a broad background in the development of spinal and craniomaxillofacial devices. She has held COO or vice president positions with Stryker, Johnson & Johnson, Synthes and Macropore.

Carlsmed uses AI and predictive analytics to fit spinal deformity treatments to individual patients. It said it is focused on developing a platform that lets surgeons use imaging data to design tailored cage implants and instrumentation plans.
