OptiBiotix Earns CE Mark for Weight Management Device

OptiBiotix has earned CE Mark certification for its SlimBiome weight management device and formulation, which can be used alone or as part of a calorie-restricted diet to reduce food intake and cravings.

The device increases microbial diversity in the stomach through its use of non-digestible prebiotic fibers. It also contains a water-soluble dietary fiber to make the patient feel full and reduce post-meal insulin and glucose surges.

Increased diversity of microbes in the gut “has been shown to help people lose weight more quickly and most importantly sustain this weight loss,” the company said.
