IceCure’s Cryoablation Technology Gets Expanded 510(k) Clearance

IceCure received an additional 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its cryoablation technology, allowing the device to be used for treating tumors in other areas of the body.

The additional clearance allows the company’s advanced non-surgical cryoablation products to be marketed for treating cancerous and benign tumors in the kidney, liver, ear, nose and throat.

The clearance also includes the company’s MultiSense system, which allows for treatment using three needles, helping to reduce procedure time and improve the treatment of multiple tumors and larger masses.
