Novo Nordisk Launches Cheaper Insulin Options

Novo Nordisk launched half-priced generic versions of NovoLog and NovoLog Mix in the U.S., aiming to provide cheaper insulin products.

The generic of NovoLog (insulin aspart) will cost $144.68 per vial, and $279.41 for a pack of five. The lower-cost version of NovoLog Mix (insulin aspart mix 70/30) will cost $150.06 per vial, and a pack of five vials will cost $279.41.

In addition, the drugmaker launched its My$99Insulin program, a cash card program that allows diabetes patients to receive up to three vials or two packs of FlexPen/FlexTouch of any combination of Novo Nordisk insulin for $99.
