Medtronic Nabs CE Mark for Neurostimulator

Medtronic has earned a CE Mark for its Percept PC neurostimulator, a deep brain stimulation system for treating patients with neurological disorders including Parkinson’s disease.

The company said Percept PC is the only deep brain stimulation system cleared in the EU that is capable of detecting and recording brain signals while delivering treatment.

The device allows physicians to monitor a patient’s brain signals and compare them with the side effects and symptoms of their disease and the medication they take for it, allowing them to customize neurostimulation treatment.
