Pentax Medical Nabs FDA Clearance for Endoscopy Platform

Pentax Medical’s IMAGINA endoscopy system received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for gastrointestinal procedures at ambulatory surgery centers.

The device uses digital image enhancement technology to provide crisp visualization and enhanced imaging of blood vessel and mucosal surface texture.

Pentax’s endoscopy system features LED lights, eliminating the need for periodic bulb replacements and allowing for lower cost procedures.
