CDER to Launch Drug Risk Management Board

CDER is launching a new Drug Risk Management Board, CDER Director Janet Woodcock announced in an email to staff.

Woodcock described the board as a “unified center-level body that will ensure seamless alignment for marketed product safety activities among offices and will facilitate rapid analysis and resolution of drug safety issues.”

The board will coordinate all marketed product safety initiatives across CDER, including the modernization of CDER’s capabilities for safety surveillance.
