Sony Receives FDA Clearance for Digital Imaging System

The FDA has given Sony 510(k) clearance for NUCLeUS, a digital imaging management system designed for use in hospital operating rooms and clinical spaces.

The platform, which features a touch screen and can be mounted on a wall, supports high resolution images and gives direct access to imaging data, video and audio content captured in operating and examination rooms.

The encrypted system can be expanded for use in additional hospital rooms or buildings, and is compatible with other smart applications.
