FDA Clears BioElectronics’ Pain Patch for Musculoskeletal Pain

February 3, 2020

BioElectronics has received an additional 510(k) clearance for its ActiPatch device, a pain relief patch that does not use drugs to deliver treatment.

The patch delivers an electromagnetic pulse to relieve pain. The over-the-counter patch is now cleared for adjunct treatment of musculoskeletal pain, including pain in the back, knees, wrists, hips, elbows and ankles.

The device was given the FDA’s go-ahead in 2017 for OTC treatment of knee osteoarthritis pain and heel pain.
