UK Waves Goodbye to EU as Transition Period Begins

The UK finally departed from the European Union on January 31, beginning a transition period in which EU drug regulations will still apply in the UK.

The EMA said it will soon release updated Brexit guidelines for drugmakers on keeping their authorized drug products compliant.

Drugmakers will have until Dec. 31, 2020 to make the required changes to ensure their products can stay on the EU market.
