HHS Requests Submissions for Coronavirus Diagnostic Development Funding

HHS is accepting abstract submissions of novel coronavirus development diagnostics for potential funding.

The department said its Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) will begin reviewing abstract submissions for development funding of novel coronavirus molecular diagnostics. The submissions should be concise and must use already-approved platforms.

Abstracts should include “a viable plan to meet requirements for the FDA to consider emergency use authorization within 12 weeks” of funding being granted, HHS said.
