XableCath’s Crossing Catheter Obtains CE Mark

XableCath has received the CE Mark for its XableCath crossing catheter, adding to the FDA clearance it received last year.

The devicemaker will market two versions of the catheter product in Europe in multiple diameters and lengths., one with a blunt tip and another with an abrasion tip.

The catheter has been used to cross recalcitrant chronic venous obstructions, including crossing in-stent restenosis, which is “considered by many clinicians to be the most challenging venous procedures,” the company said.
