Acacia Pharma Earns FDA Approval for Barhemsys for PONV

The FDA approved Acacia Pharma’s Barhemsys (amisulpride injection) for the prevention and treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) in adults.

Barhemsys is the only antiemetic to be approved for the rescue treatment of PONV in patients who do not respond to the current standard of care.

Acacia plans to make the product available in the second half of 2020.
