Canon Medical’s Imaging AI Technology Cleared

Canon Medical’s Advanced Intelligent Clear-IQ Engine (AiCE) received FDA clearance for use with the company’s Vantage Galan 3T magnetic resonance system.

The deep learning algorithm lessens noise while enhancing the signal for MR images, improving the sharpness of images to make them more clear.

AiCE distinguishes between the true signal and noise while maintaining the true structure of the anatomy, the company said.
