Rheonix Seeks Emergency Authorization for COVID-19 Test

Rheonix is seeking an Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA for a four-hour coronavirus test kit for use by small and medium-sized laboratories.

The company said the fully-automated diagnostic will run on its Encompass MDx workstation and will test respiratory samples to detect COVID-19.

The self-contained system uses cartridges, reducing the time healthcare workers must handle samples.
