Novacyt’s COVID-19 Test Earns Emergency Use Authorization

The FDA granted Novacyt’s Primerdesign COVID-19 diagnostic an emergency use authorization for use in hospitals and laboratories.

The test provides results in under two hours and it is designed for use on multiple commonly used clinical laboratory instruments.

The diagnostic medium can be freeze-dried, allowing it to be shipped at ambient temperature, the company said.
