Microbix Creates Quality Assessment Tests for COVID-19 Diagnostics

Microbix has launched a quality assessment product (QAP) designed to verify the accuracy of coronavirus diagnostics.

The QAP provides whole-genome sequencing validation/verification and training samples. The Canadian company said it will launch two versions of the product for use with swabs and liquid aliquots.

The units are designed to be used with Copan Diagnostics’ FLOQswabs. Microbix said it can manufacture 5,000 QAPs per week.
