Tissium Receives CE Mark for Sterile Surgical Sealant

Tissium earned a CE Mark for its Setalium biodegradable sterile sealant, which comes in a prefilled syringe.

The biocompatible sealant is used to help stop bleeding during open vascular surgeries. It is made of a highly viscous polymer applied directly to the patient’s tissue.

The device is indicated for use as an adjunct to sutures in vascular reconstruction.
