DiaSorin Shares Progress on COVID-19 Antibody Test

Italian diagnostic maker DiaSorin said it expects to receive a CE Mark and an Emergency Use Authorization for its automated COVID-19 serology test by the end of the month.

The test detects IgG antibodies and identifies patients who have already been infected with SARS-CoV-2. It is used on the company’s Liaison XL platform, which allows labs to process up to 170 samples per hour.

The company said it plans to make the test available in coming weeks.
