Bayer Launches Eye Drug Syringe in Europe

Bayer has earned the European Medicines Agency’s approval for its pre-filled Eylea (aflibercept) syringe, clearing it for marketing in Europe.

The drug is approved for treatment of neovascular wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and for treating visual impairment caused by macular edema.

The marketing approval applies to all EU states in addition to the UK, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
