PathoFinder’s COVID-19 Test Gets CE Mark

PathoFinder has received a CE mark for its RealAccurate Quadraplex Corona-plus polymerase chain reaction (PCR) kit for detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The PCR kit uses nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs and delivers results within two hours. In addition to detecting the COVID-19 virus, the diagnostic can also detect the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus.

The Netherlands-based company expects to deliver several thousand coronavirus tests to hospitals in the coming weeks.
