Proteomics International Earns CE Mark for Kidney Disease Test

Proteomics International Laboratories has earned a CE mark for its PromarkerD diabetic kidney disease test kit.

The blood test assesses the risk of diabetic kidney disease in type 2 diabetes patients using a unique protein fingerprint that can signal onset of the disease up to four years ahead of symptoms.

The PromarkerD is the first test available in the EU for predicting the onset of diabetic kidney disease, the company said.
