Nova Biomedical Launches Emergency Blood-Testing System

Nova Biomedical has received the CE mark in Europe for its Stat EMS Basic, a blood-testing device for use in ambulances and emergency care.

The fingerstick blood test delivers results in six to 40 seconds, including levels of glucose, hemoglobin, capillary lactate, ketone and hematocrit.

The system features meters, test strips, controls and lancets in a lightweight case that fits in a medical bag.
