Bayer Teams Up With Canadian Institute for COVID-19 Treatments

Bayer is partnering with Canada’s Population Health Research Institute (PHRI) to identify potential COVID-19 treatments.

The institute will evaluate different combination therapies including Bayer’s chloroquine and interferon beta-1b. It plans to enroll 6,000 patients in two studies at more than 60 sites across Ontario and internationally.

Bayer has committed $1 million dollars to the project and will supply the drugs to support the research.
