Terumo Earns CE Mark for Drug-Eluting Microspheres

Terumo Europe has received a CE Mark for its BioPearl biodegradable drug-eluting microspheres.

The microspheres restrict the blood supply to liver tumors while preserving access to the target arteries to allow for follow-up treatments.

They are designed to deliver three chemotherapy drugs  — doxorubicin, idarubicin, and epirubicin.
