China Ramps Up Exports of COVID-19 Products

China’s National Medical Products Administration is ramping up production of needed surgical masks and protective gowns and goggles to fight COVID-19 globally.

Some masks were shipped that did not meet GMP requirements, and China’s State Administration for Market Regulation is compiling a list of qualified manufacturers to provide a basis for customs authorities to clear exports.

China’s director of foreign trade at the Ministry of Commerce, Li Xingqian, said the country will not limit exports of needed medical supplies.
