Zoll Medical’s Oxygen Therapy Earns CE Mark

Zoll Medical has earned a CE mark for its SuperSaturated Oxygen Therapy System for  treatment of severe heart attack patients.

The oxygen therapy is used by interventional cardiologists to reduce muscle damage. It delivers  oxygen to the damaged muscle immediately after revascularization via angioplasty and stenting of the blocked coronary artery.

The therapy is specifically for patients who suffer left anterior descending ST-elevation myocardial infarction heart attacks, which have a high mortality rate.
