Grifols’ Automated Blood-Screening Platform Cleared

The FDA granted Grifols clearance for its Procleix Panther system for use by blood banks with four of the company’s assays.

The system has been cleared for use with the company’s HIV/hepatitis, West Nile Virus, Zika and Babesia assays.

The Procleix Panther system automates processes for blood screening and allows laboratories to select different configurations based on their needs.
