CeGaT Earns CE Mark for Coronavirus Antibody Test

German devicemaker CeGaT has earned a CE mark certification for its SARS-CoV-2 antibody test.

The CeGaT Corona Antibody Test detects immunoglobulin G antibodies directed against the virus’s spike protein that binds with human cell receptors.

The blood test is more than 95 percent accurate for positive samples and almost 99 percent accurate for negative samples, the company said.
