OptiScan Earns CE Mark for Automated Blood Monitoring System
May 14, 2020
OptiScan Biomedical’s automated continuous blood monitoring system, the OptiScanner 7000, has received CE mark certification.
The bedside system is designed for use in intensive care units (ICU) and is able to continuously monitor and trend glucose, lactate and central venous oxygen saturation levels using a microsample of a patient’s blood.
“The ability to automatically trend and monitor multiple critical parameters … aims at capturing the fullest, most accurate understanding of an ICU-patient’s metabolic condition from a single source, allowing physicians to detect problems early, intervene quickly and confirm successful resolution of the issues,” the company said.
