Edwards Lifesciences Earns CE Mark for Transcatheter Valve-Repair System

Edwards Lifesciences has earned a CE mark for its Edwards PASCAL transcatheter valve-repair system for the treatment of patients with tricuspid regurgitation (TR).

The device uses clasps and paddles to grasp the tricuspid valve and prevents the backflow of blood into the heart.

The system is designed to treat TR patients who may not be suitable for surgery because of the risks associated with their condition.
