HiberGene Gets CE Mark for COVID-19 Test

HiberGene Diagnostics’ COVID-19 test has received CE mark certification and is now available for purchase in Europe.

The coronavirus diagnostic uses nose and throat swabs to detect the virus at both early and highly contagious stages of infection and uses the company’s portable HG Swift system to test four samples at once.

The assay, which uses freeze-dried reagents, generates positive results within 30 minutes on average and negative results within an hour.
