Large Hydroxychloroquine Study Gets Under Way

Enrollment for a large, global trial of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine for the prevention of COVID-19 is getting under way in the United Kingdom.

Led by researchers at the University of Oxford, the trial will enroll more than 40,000 healthcare workers from Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. Results are expected by year’s end.

Accord Healthcare has donated more than 2 million hydroxychloroquine tablets for the trial. — James Miessler
