CordenPharma to Supply Excipients for Moderna’s COVID-19 Vaccine

CordenPharma has signed a manufacturing deal with Moderna to manufacture the lipid excipients used in Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate.

Under the agreement, CordenPharma will manufacture large volumes of lipids for the vaccine candidate, mRNA-1273, at its facilities in Chenôve, France, and Colorado. 

Moderna’s vaccine candidate was one of the early frontrunners in the race for an effective COVID vaccine, but more than 100 are now in development worldwide.
