Lunit’s Breast Cancer Detection Software Earns CE Mark

Lunit has earned a CE mark for its Lunit Insight MMG, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based software program for detecting breast cancer lesions in mammography images.

The software is designed for use as a diagnostic support tool. It uses the images to produce heat maps that show the location of lesions, and it estimates the probability of malignancy.

The company said a study of the AI software showed it was more sensitive at detecting early-stage invasive cancer than radiologists.
