Neumodx Gains CE Mark for HIV Assay

NeuMoDx Molecular has gained a CE mark in Europe for its NeuMoDx HIV-1 assay.

The polymerase-chain-reaction (PCR) test runs on the company’s automated NeuMoDx 96/288 molecular analyzers and provides results in about 80 minutes.

The Michigan-based company said the HIV assay completes its suite of bloodborne viral tests, which also includes tests for Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C virus (HCV) .
