AstraZeneca Taps Scotland’s Symbiosis to Manufacture COVID-19 Vaccine

AstraZeneca has signed an agreement with Scotland-based Symbiosis Pharmaceutical Services to supply its COVID-19 vaccine AZD1222 for clinical trials.

The contract is AstraZeneca’s tenth such agreement as it scales up production of the promising vaccine licensed from Oxford University.

AZD1222 is currently in clinical testing at multiple sites across the UK.
