Abbott, Tandem Diabetes Team Up on Automated Insulin Delivery Devices

Abbott and Tandem Diabetes Care have forged an agreement to develop automated insulin delivery systems with glucose-sensing capabilities.

Under the agreement, Abbott will provide its continuous glucose monitoring technology while Tandem Diabetes will contribute its insulin delivery systems to produce devices that automatically deliver insulin to patients.

The companies plan to digitally connect their technologies for automated insulin delivery to simplify how patients manage their diabetes.
