DiaSorin Earns CE Mark for Flu Assay to Run with COVID-19 Test

DiaSorin has earned a CE Mark for its Simplexa Flu A/B and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) Direct Gen II assay kit.

The flu test can be run on its own or alongside the company’s Simplexa COVID-19 Direct kit. The assay runs on DiaSorin’s Liaison MDX system.

Viral infections caused by Flu A, Flu B, RSV and SARS-CoV-2 have similar clinical presentations, but the treatment options are different, the company noted.
