Moderna Signs Deal with Spanish Manufacturer for COVID-19 Vaccine Supply

Moderna has teamed up with Spain’s Laboratorios Farmacéuticos Rovi (ROVI) for large-scale manufacturing of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate mRNA-1273.

Under the agreement, ROVI will create a new production line at its facility in Madrid to produce hundreds of millions of doses for markets outside of the U.S.

Moderna signed a similar deal with Indiana-based Catalent last month to manufacture an initial 100 million doses for the U.S.
