General Motors’ Respirators Gain N95 Certification

General Motors said that the filtering facepiece respirators manufactured at its Warren, Michigan plant have been certified as N95 compliant.

The company received approval for the respirators through a new public-health emergency process put in place by the CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The facepiece respirators must filter out at least 95 percent of airborne particles during worst-case testing, GM said.
