BioMérieux Earns CE Mark for SARS-CoV-2 and Respiratory Pathogen Test

BioMérieux has received a CE Mark for its Biofire Respiratory Panel 2.1 Plus, which tests for SARS-CoV-2 and 22 other pathogens that cause respiratory tract infections.

The “plus” version of the test adds SARS-CoV-2 to its previous panel and still takes approximately 45 minutes to deliver results.

The panel, which runs on the company’s automated Biofire FilmArray 2.0 and Torch systems, is now available in Europe.
