UK’s MHRA Unveils New Datasets for Testing COVID-19 Devices and AI Solutions

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has created two datasets to help devicemakers validate medical devices and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions designed to fight the coronavirus and cardiovascular disease.

Based on anonymous primary care data, the mock datasets were created to mirror symptoms, diagnoses and treatments of actual patients.

The agency said the datasets will “support bringing safe products to market sooner” so patients can benefit from the latest technical advances.
